Did you know Santa Claus is real?

White House Dismisses ‘Climategate’ Because ‘Most People’ Believe in Global Warming. Give me a break - What kind of logic does Obama use? That is the same as saying Santa Claus is real because most people believe in him.

The Unraveling

Michael Crichton's book State of Fear was, for me, the first nail in the coffin of The Global Warming Hoax.  Now the last nail has been hammered in, and all that is left is the burial. Climate Depot provides all the nails you need to hammer The Hoax for yourself.  The emails that were found and reported last week are the real Inconvenient Truth. Algore was right about one thing. The Truth is often inconvenient.

Having, exercising, or characterized by sound judgment

440 Phantom Congressional Districts Get $6.4 Billion According to Recovery.gov

No matter what side of the aisle you prefer, this is our government spending our money judiciously. I just cannot see how our government can make any claim to managing National Heath Care in a manner most beneficial to its people. This is just madness folks.

Transforming Our Constitution

To those saying "so what, just a blunder", "this is not important", "why is it bad?" - It is more than just a bow. This single incident is one of many, a pattern of behavior during JUST the first year of his presidency that is more disturbing than any president since. He is seeking fundamentally to transform the United States and since our nation is fundamentally defined by our Constitution it is our Constitution he wishes to transform? If it were not for our Constitution, Obama would not be in office! Is this what you voted for?

"WE NOTICED"

President Obama:...

Today I read of your administrations' plan to re-define September 11 as a National Service Day. Sir, it's time we had a talk........ .

During your campaign, Americans watched as you made mockery of our tradition of standing and crossing your heart when the Pledge of Allegiance was spoken. You, out of four people on the stage, were the only one not honoring our tradition.

YES, "We noticed."

During one of your many speeches, Americans heard you say that you intended to visit all 57 states. We all know that Islam, not America has 57 states.

YES, "We noticed."

When President Bush leaned over at Ground Zero and gently placed a flower on the memorial, while you nonchalantly tossed your flower onto the pile without leaning over.

YES, "We noticed."

Every time you apologized to other countries for America 's position on an issue we have wondered why you don't share our pride in this great country. When you have heard foreign leaders berate our country and our beliefs, you have not defended us. In fact, you insulted the British Crown beyond belief.

YES, "We noticed."

When your pastor of 20 years, "God-damned America " and said that 9/11 was " America 's chickens coming home to roost" and you denied having heard recriminations of that nature, we wondered how that could be. You later disassociated yourself from that church and Pastor Wright because it was politically expedient to do so.

YES, "We noticed."

When you announced that you would transform America , we wondered why. With all her faults, America is the greatest country on earth. Sir, KEEP THIS IN MIND, "if not for America and the people who built her, you wouldn't be sitting in the White House now." Prior to your election to the highest office in this Country, you were a senator from Illinois and from what we can glean from the records available, not a very remarkable one.

YES, "We noticed."

All through your campaign and even now, you have surrounded yourself with individuals who are basically unqualified for the positions for which you appointed them. Worse than that, the majority of them are people who, like you, bear no special allegiance, respect, or affection for this country and her traditions.

YES, "We noticed."

You are 9 months into your term and every morning millions of Americans wake up to a new horror heaped on us by you. You seek to saddle working Americans with a health care/insurance reform package that, along with cap and trade, will bankrupt this nation.

YES, "We noticed."

We seek, by protesting, to let our representatives know that we are not in favor of these crippling expenditures and we are labeled "un-American" ,"racist" , "mob". We wonder how we are supposed to let you know how frustrated we are. You have attempted to make our protests seem isolated and insignificant. Until your appointment, Americans had the right to speak out.

YES, "We noticed."

On September 11, 2001 there were no Republicans or Democrats, only Americans. And we all grieved together and helped each other in whatever way we could. The attack on 9/11 was carried out because we are Americans.

And YES, "We noticed."

There were many of us who prayed that as a black president you could help unite this nation. In six months you have done more to destroy this nation than the attack on 9/11. You have failed us.

YES, "We noticed."

September 11 is a day of remembrance for all Americans. You propose to make 9/11 a "National Service Day". While we know that you don't share our reverence for 9/11, we pray that history will report your proposal as what it is...a disgrace.

YES, "We noticed."

You have made a mockery of our Constitution and the office that you hold. You have embarrassed and slighted us in foreign visits and policy.

YES, "We noticed.."

We have noticed all these things. We will deal with you. When Americans come together again, it will be to remove you from office.

Take notice.

Deference to a Superior

I understand bows like this are a sign of great respect, but in other parts of the world bows also represent deference to a superior. Meaning "great honor, respect and esteem due a superior or elder". Or "the willingness to carry out the wishes of others". This, by itself, is not a bad thing but when combined with other presidential actions makes for a pattern without any historical precedent. In my opinion, not a very good one.

A Superpower Stirs

A Superpower Stirs: 600 years after bringing home its armada, will China once again stride the world's stage? Very interesting article about China and its perceived influence. The 160+ comments on the article are also interesting. Good read!

To Be or Not To Be - A Terroist

Why is Obama NOT calling this a terrorist attack?

Political correctness is at least partly responsible for the disaster at Fort Hood. Roger L. Simon in a an excellent article called "Fort Hood: Political Correctness as Murder Weapon" in Pajamas Media, makes this point " ....Political correctness is derived from the more... intellectually respectable doctrine of cultural relativism. In essence, cultural relativism holds that an individuals beliefs and activities should only be understood in terms of his or her own culture. It's the ultimate version of "who are we to judge?" If Ayatollah Khomeini wishes to oppress all the women and homosexuals in Iran, it's their way. If Mao seeks to knock off seventy million of his countrymen, so be it. We shouldn't impose our values."

What Stimulus?

Obama’s Failed Stimulus in Pictures: 10.2% Unemployment

When President Barack Obama was pitching his $787 billion economic stimulus package, the White House produced a report claiming their plan would keep unemployment under a peak of 8%.

Nitty Gritty Dirty Proposal

Things get a little scary when you start looking at the nitty gritty details of the National Health Care proposals.

Thought

Obama campaigned on the platform of “Hope and Change” throughout his race for the presidency. He was spot on - I have a little Change and Hoping 2010 will stop this madness . At the rate Obama and the Democrats are going I will not even have the Change left, in my pocket this is.

Cap and Tax

Interesting perspective on the futility of cap and trade. Video even explains what Cap and Trade is and how it works or rather, does not work.

They didn’t have to head to Ft. Hood. That was not their responsibility.

With no media attention, they very quietly went to Ft. Hood and met personally with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack. FOR HOURS. The Bushes went and met privately with these families for HOURS, hugging them, holding them, comforting them.

My values are not inline with their gay rights platform but the folks at the link below have some interesting things to say about the previous administration.

Where is the consitutional authority?

Does the Constitution allow the federal government to force individual citizens to buy health insurance? Moreover, should the House or Senate be required to provide an explanation of the constitutional authority for legislation in general?

Past Rulings Haunt President Obama's Judicial Nominee

Past Rulings Haunt President Obama's Judicial Nominee.

Judge David Hamilton says lawmakers can pray to Allah – but not to Jesus

Public Option for Congress

How do you think Congress will vote on this one?

Republican Rep. Joe Wilson proposed an amendment Wednesday that would force all members of Congress to receive health insurance coverage through the government-run plan proposed in the House's reform bill.

"If the public option is good enough for the American people, then it's certainly good enough for Congress," Wilson said. "If this government-run plan is so good, why don't members of Congress take the plan?

Coverage for 100s of millions or just 30 million?

I just heard the president say during todays White House press briefing that National Heath Care will be for the 100s of millions of Americans in our country. Folks I have been talking to lately tell me National Heath Care is for just the 30 million Americans currently not covered. Which is it, 100s of millions or 30 million?

Fair, Unbiased and Balanced News

Could not believe the above statement that our fair, unbiased and balanced news networks were not covering the Washington D.C. GOP Health Care rally. I checked CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC AND CBS. Only FOX was carrying any type of coverage. Are you getting all the news or only what some want you to know?

Well Said

"There's a tendency to throw aside old values as belonging to an earlier generation. Don't discard those values that have proven, over the period of time, their value. Just believe in those values that made our nation great and keep them: faith, family, hard work, and, above all, freedom." — President Ronald Reagan

Health-Care Reform Vote May Come This Week

Republicans asked Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., to release the text of the bill, but Democrats have refused. Ashley Horne, federal policy analyst for Focus on the Family Action, said Democrats argue that everything sent to the CBO may not end up in the final version."Even so," she said, "taxpayers and members of Congress should be allowed to review the various packages to learn how the government is proposing to spend taxpayer money."

Is Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty?

On October 14, Lord Christopher Monckton gave a presentation in St. Paul, MN on the subject of global warming. In this 4-minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty that is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

Video clip of Lord Christopher Monckton's presentation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMe5dOgbu40

A draft of the treaty can be read here:
http://www.globalclimatescam.com/documents/un-fccc-copenhagen-2009.pdf
http://www.scribd.com/doc/21255202/un-fccc-copenhagen-2009-FCCC-AWGLCA-2009-INF-2

WorldNetDaily has a good analysis of the treaty:
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=114005

There has been considerable debate raised about Monckton's conclusion that the Copenhagen Treaty would cede US sovereignty. His comments appear to be based upon his interpretation of the The Supremacy Clause in the US Constitution (Article VI, paragraph 2). This clause establishes the Constitution, Federal Statutes, and U.S. TREATIES as the supreme law of the land. Concerns have been raised in the past that a particularly ambitious treaty may supersede the US Constitution. In the 1950s, a constitutional amendment, known as the Bricker Amendment, was proposed in response to such fears, but it failed to pass. You can read more about the Bricker Amendment in a 1953 Time Magazine article:

Obama's College Thesis: Let's Be Careful Out There

Rush was all over this story in his first hour today.
The internet is abuzz with the quotes, attributed to a Time article by Joe Klein.
And, it certainly sounds believable, based on other statements from BHO.
But so far, no one can find the Joe Klein post on the Time Blog, appropriately called Swampland. And so far the supposed ten pages are no where to be found.
Here is the blog Ledeen sources.

So, let's be careful out there until we can find the quotes.

Obama Fails in Silencing the Free Press

I strongly believe when this is allowed to happen, our government will be allowed to silence anyone whom it does not favor. What would be happening if other news organizations started to speak the truth about the Obama White House or simple ask why and raise questions about policy?

"What it's really about to me is the Executive Branch of the government trying to tell the press how it should behave. I mean, this democracy -- we know this -- only works with a free and unfettered press to provide information," he said - Baltimore Sun TV critic David Zurawik

Fox News legal analyst Peter Johnson Jr. said the administration was potentially in violation of the Constitution with its attempt to restrict access to the "eyes and ears" of the country.

An Indefinite Government

Interesting in light of our Government's actions of late:

I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on the objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents - J. Madison

"Compared to today, yesteryear’s vision vastly differs in what congressional actions are constitutionally permissible. How might today’s congress, president and courts square their behavior with that of their predecessors? The most generous interpretation of their behavior I can give is their misunderstanding of Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution that reads, “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States.” Misuse of the “general welfare” clause serves as warrant for Congress to do just about anything upon which it can secure a majority vote." - Walter E. Williams Ideas on Liberty - August 2006

Is our Nation on this path?

“Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms (of government) those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny” - Thomas Jefferson

"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy." - James Madison

Does our goverment want the economy to fail?

"These banks that were too big to fail are now bigger," Barofsky said. "Government has sponsored and supported several mergers that made them larger and that guarantee, that implicit guarantee of moral hazard, the idea that the government is not going to let these banks fail, which was implicit a year ago, is now explicit, we've said it. So if anything, not only have there not been any meaningful regulatory reform to make it less likely, in a lot of ways, the government has made such problems more likely.

"Potentially we could be in more danger now than we were a year ago," he added.

"If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream."

--- One Of The Best Explanations Of Why Obama Won The Election From a teacher in the Nashville area.

THE COW AND THE ICE CREAM

"We are worried about "the cow" when it is all about the "Ice Cream"

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching
third grade this year.
The presidential election was heating up and some of the children
showed an interest.
I decided we would have an election for a class president.

We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and
the class would vote..

To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members..
We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have.
We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked
to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates
were good kids.
I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of
parental support.
I had never seen Olivia`s mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.
Jamie went first.
He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better
place. He ended by promising to do his very best.
Everyone applauded and he sat down.

Now is was Olivia`s turn to speak.

Her speech was concise.
She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream."
She sat down.
The class went wild. "Yes! Yes!
We want ice cream."

She surely would say more. She did not have to.
A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream?
She wasn`t sure.
Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it.
She didn`t know.
The class really didn`t care.
All they were thinking about was ice cream.

Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.

Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and 52
percent of the people reacted like nine year olds. They want ice cream.
The other 48 percent know they`re going to have to feed the cow and
clean up the mess.

Remember, the government cannot give anything to anyone --- that they
have not first taken away from someone else.

Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

National Credit Card Maxed Out

“In the Senate’s first vote on health care spending this year,” Mr. McConnell said, “a bipartisan majority rejected the Democrat leadership’s attempt to add another quarter-trillion dollars to the national credit card without any plan to pay for it. With a record deficit and a ballooning national debt, the American people are saying enough is enough.”

Does anything more need to be said?

Why can't we control Fox?

"Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control," Dunn said, admitting that the strategy "did not always make us popular in the press." - Anita Dunn.

The Obama camp claims to have handled most media organizations except the elusive Fox News. It may seem simple but perhaps this is why Fox has been targeted by the White House in an effort to discredit the news organization because absolute control cannot be obtained.

Who Governs Speech? Who Decides Racism?

What a disgusting turn of events. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are not honest brokers of free speech or who may or may not be racist in this country. I have serious doubts Jesse and Al are honest anything.

Excuse Me?!?! He Won What?!? For What Exactly?!?

So, my normal morning is to get up around 5:30am, take the dogs out, get some coffee going, and then take a look at the headlines before the family gets up and moving. But last night, Lia, our Border Collie, had to go out around 2AM...in the rain...and the cold. That brought on a wheezy asthma attack for yours truly, and so I slept in until almost 7:30. Rushed around, got in the car, and didn't turn on the radio until I was well down the road...and almost ran in to a ditch when I heard who "won" the Nobel Peace Prize.

I'm embarrassed, to tell you the truth. I'm embarrassed for my country, and embarrassed for Obama. It's like  winning a spelling bee in grade school because all the smart kids were home sick with the flu, or worse, because you're the teacher's pet. Yuck. That's all I can really say. Just yuck.

A Force to be Reckoned With

I've become deeply discouraged about the state of politics today. Been there before, and will be there again. The cure is to once again visit the life of William Wilberforce. Here, from Issue 53 of Christian History, is the story of a Christian who was called to ministry, just as surely as any Pastor. His ministry was the politics of his day.  I pray for God to raise up men and women who are indeed Called to the Ministry of Politics. I hope you will join me in this prayer...

Third Party Politics: Republicrats and Democans

Republicrats and Democans. They are all alike.  There's no difference between the Parties. Both are leading us toward Progressivism, one quickly and one slowly. Glenn Beck says so. That's why we need a new Party, right?

Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Take a look at the two Party websites, GOPUSA and Democrats.org . Do you see any difference? If you don't, I've got a spare pair of really thick glasses for you to try again. The Democrats have stuck to their liberal agenda with passion and tenacity, while Republicans have admittedly wandered from the Conservative values that won them election after election.

But to claim no difference is, to use Mr. Beck's current favorite word, idiotic.

As we approach the mid-term elections and the 2012 Presidential election, let's "honor" a couple of famous third-party candidates,  Ross Perot and Ralph Nader.

In 1992, Mr. Perot's candidacy gave the election to Bill Clinton, Monica Lewinsky, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In 2000, Ralph Nader served as the spoiler in one of the closest elections in our nation's history. Had Mr. Nader not run, Al Gore would have been reading to that class of children on 9/11.

So, if you really like Barack Obama, start rooting for a Conservative alternative to the Republican candidate. A third party candidate with charisma and character will guarantee an Obama second term. Count on it.

The Number One Threat to Middle East Peace?

When Alice went down the rabbit hole, the world turned on its ear. There are still Rabbit Holes today, and one of the biggest is at the United Nations...

TEHRAN, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei said Sunday that "Israel is number one threat to Middle East" with its nuclear arms, the official IRNA news agency reported.
At a joint press conference with Iran's Atomic Energy Organization chief Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran, ElBaradei brought Israel under spotlight and said that the Tel Aviv regime has refused to allow inspections into its nuclear installations for 30years, the report said.
"Israel is the number one threat to the Middle East given the nuclear arms it possesses," ElBaradei was quoted as saying.
Israel is widely assumed to have nuclear capabilities, although it refuses to confirm or deny the allegation.
"This (possession of nuclear arms) was the cause for some proper measures to gain access to its (Israel's) power plants ... and the U.S. president has done some positive measures for the inspections to happen," said ElBaradei.
It's hard to know what is more frightening, ElBaradei's idiotic statement, or his assertion that the current U.S. President is supporting his claim...

Happy Anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Obama!

The Obama's were out on the town. Meanwhile, another celebration was occurring half a world away...
Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taleban spokesman, said that the insurgents included several suicide bombers and that they captured 35 policemen whose fate would be decided by the movement’s provincial council.
I'm sure Barak and Michelle had a marvelous evening, and discussed the request from General McCrystal for more troops between courses...

First Post

First post to a new blog. We will see where this one goes.
